    Customer questions & answers

Question: what is the mounting footprint for this tent? designing a tent trailer and footprint of tent in travel mode is important.
    Answer: The closed footprint is 47" x 76" open it is 122" x 76".

Question: What is the size of the ladder that it comes with? Trying to figure out if we need to purchase the ladder extension?
Answer: I have a 3 inch lift and 35” tires on my Jeep and I do not need the extension

Question: It says trailer tent....i have a tahoe; would it work? how do i determine the rack needed? it has a standard roof rack from chevy
Answer: Like everyone mentioned, it is all about the weight. Dynamic weight is around 150lbs plus whatever you leave in it. That is what is required to drive it around. Most roof racks can handle that. Then it’s the static weight. Big tent allows for more people and stuff. I have a Jeep Wrangler with a Gobi Rack that is capable of 300# dynamic and 800# static. I also put it on my F250 which has a ladder rack

Question: Will this fit in a 2001 zr2 Chevy blazer?
Answer: It will, I had it on my 4runner 2003. Zr2 is not much bigger then a 4runner. The only thing is that you must have a sturdy roof rack or strong cross bars.

Question: Can this be mounted to an F-150 single cab?
Answer: Yes it can and the only important thing is the strength of the rack. Make sure it can support up to 750 lbs.

So far we have used it once and it was set up for a few days at the house to check it all out and get rained on. Perfectly dry and very spacious. I will be getting the annex as soon as possible and use that as well. Great product so far.

We have not taken it out yet, but it’s mounted on my truck ready to go. If you don’t mind it hanging off the back about 7” it will fit on a short bed 2006 Tacoma. It is very well put together and will come back to update the review after sleeping in it. My wife, two kids and I fit comfortably. Along with our chocolate lab.

I mounted this tent on a trailer I built instead of the roof of a vehicle as it is fairly heavy.. I'm sure with a sturdy enough roof rack it would be just fine, but read your vehicles rack rating first. This is a awesome tent

For the price, you can't beat it. It's comfortable right out of the box. A little work to set up and pack away but no more than any other manual Roof Top Tent.

I mounted it on a trailer so I didn’t get tied down to one spot with my vehicle. Very comfortable and roomy. Easy set up and break down if you have a step stool to get to the windows. Strong materials and very well built. I’m impressed and will use this for years to come

Just took it on 13 day adventure. Did great. Mattress could be thicker. Have to roll around alot. Nights got down to 30’s but stayed pretty comfy with sleeping bags. Was nice feeling to be up high as bears where nosing around camp.

We used this roof top tent for one summer so far. That equates to about 10 camp trips. We're a family of 4 so this tent did not get used gently and surprisingly it has held up tremendously. We love it and I'm personally glad we didn't go with a more expensive roof top tent. The built roof top tent is the absolute best value for your money.

I purchased this tent for my custom designed trailer. It is 76" long and 47" wide when close, so it is not really recommended by the manufacturer for a car top. But for a trailer works great. We fit two adults and two kids with ease. The quality of the materials is impeccable. The design with the extra coverage makes it great for the northwest, on rainy days.
