Customer questions & answers
Question: Can this be used as a part-time guest house? Just wondering about about the stability of the roof?
Answer: Many customers actually use this as a guest house but it would not be the first choice in regions with heavy snow loads. That plexiglass on the roof comes with surprisingly decent load bearing strength though.Question: Solar powered? Bathroom weather proof?
Answer: You can add solar power components after-during the assembly of the cabin. There is no bathroom because this is a cabin K-I-T, not an assembled cabin.Question: What is the snow load capacity? What is the additional cost for dual pane windows?
Answer: Due to the polycarbonate part of the roof, this model does not have a snowload rating. Summerlight does not have other window type options.Question: How tall is he door?
Answer: 73-5/8"Question: Can this be assembled for temporary use (12 months), then taken apart and relocated to another location?
Answer: It is possible but most likely some of the shingles may need to be replaced and the floor probably needs to be sanded after re-installing it.Question: Can you see through the plexiglass on the roof?
Answer: The plexiglass is intended to allow sunlight coming inside tha structure but it is not a window, per se. -

Instructions and parts were very clear and had videos to help. I would recommend. Like the shelves it came with.

What a great house! I looked around for awhile and could not find it anywhere for this price. Me and my wife set it up in 7 hrs. Delivery guy asked where I wanted it and moved to my backyard right where I was setting it up.

Took two days to build platform and assemble shed, but it was worth it. It looks sturdy and the price was very reasonable. We are very pleased.

This house was just perfect for our needs. I will say that my husband and I could have used a few more words in the instruction booklet. It comes with lots of pictures, but we could have used a bit more detail on which way to put in some of the screws to allow the pieces to fit together. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone .

I'm so happy to have a new shed with a doorway high enough that I don't hit my head. This was NOT easy to assemble. My handyman and I got it together with the help of another friend. It's very nice now that it's up. It would have been helpful if the company sent you instructions for the foundation ahead of delivery.

This cabin took my dad and myself a day and a half to assemble. The roof took an additional day, and another day was needed to stain it. We added the woodstove soon after. In the winter, it takes an hour to warm up with the woodstove. In the summer, it’s usually about 10° warmer than the outdoor temperature and is only comfortable with all the windows open. (I bought it straight from the manufacturer and added another window so there are views from every side.) Despite it’s limitations, I love this thing and it’s my go-to work place during the better seasons of the year.
